    Hi Friends,

    Fedora core 3 is out.
Current using Debian without X, so if X in debian doesn't work , thought of switching back to FC3. But when I installed FC2 initially, my MBR was corrupt, niether could i boot into linux or windows.

    later had to run

if dd in=/dev/hda of=/dev/zero blah blah to intall both the os...

So I did install red hat 9 first and later FC2.

Currently due to Debian problems, I would like to switch back to FC3, does anyone have the dual boot problems with FC3 as well. Please let me.

Googled thru the net but got problems with FC1&2 with WinXP dual boot, but no info regarding FC3 and WinXP

    cheers ,
    RHN

As there isn't a fedora core 3 yet I presume you mean FC2.

could anyone of you installed please tell me does FC3 test 1 affect my MBR or not.
As FC2 test 2 affected my MBR and I have to format whole lot and do dd if ... and other stuff it corrupted the boot blocks and sectors.

If you install your bootloader correctly it won't make any difference which distro you are using.
I've had FC2, SUse and Debian running beside windows Xp without any issues on my desktop machine.
