hey, i have a friend with an ACER 7278c monitor and i cant get the drivers for it anywhere! Ive tried the aCER website (useless thing) and they dont have anything for an XP system on their FTP.

Ive tried a few sites and nothing comes up, a company called BenQ make a monitor with the same product ID aswell, but id be pritty sure that the drivers for that wont work on this monitor!

Ive downloaded about 10 drivers and nothing seems to work Any chance someone here has the drivers? Or knows where i can get them?

    ACER 7278c

    Cheers

    reD.

The Windows 2000 drivers should work with XP:

    7278c is in there....

the drivers are really just a collection of settings for the possible resolution/refresh combos and the ICM profiles (colour matching).

you don't *need* them, but they're nice enough to have.

If found stuff for my Acer 77e before, no problem.
It was one big zipfile containing a few .infs for the various families and a pile of .icms for every possible model of Acer monitor.

yea, we tried that driver before - didnt work :/

Basicly, its so we can higher up the refresh rate of the monitor for counter-strike. The monitor is labled as 'plug and play' so its max refreshrate is 60hz - afaik the monitor can do 85 - 100hz, but we cant get that working atm :/

    LINK
Download 'Others' from Acer CRT section. 7278c is there.

It does mention something about not installing the CAT but that it shouldn't affect your monitor.

isn't there a check box you can toggle to show all refresh rates?

Oh yeah, it's something like "hide modes that this screen can't display"

    17" crt will do 1024x768 @ 85Hz
    17" arpeture-grille crt will do 1024x768 @ 100Hz, most of the time.

Benq is an affiliated company of Acer so if you found a Benq with the same model number then it's probably the same monitor just rebranded.

Edit. A bit of googling turned up this.

The site's Russian but the important stuff is in English. Note what's in brackets in the url.
