Experiencing problems?

I intend to buy the original of the game when it becomes available here, but in the interim I have been using a warez version. It was running fine for about a week, until a few days ago. It will load up to the menus no bother, but if I try to join a server, or start my own, it crashes just after it has loaded the map and is about to join. It just goes blank and quits to desktop. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, have you solved it. If possible I would like to try an legal copy in my machine before going out and buying it only to find that it doesn't work.

Help pleeeeeze, I'm desperate, I need my fix of tribes.

yep i had this exact problem

There's a 1.2 "upgrade" for warez versions.

Forget that, I had just finished reinstalling win98, and had just reinstalled the game, and had the same problems as before. A reboot seems to have solved that problem....so far. Are you sure that upgrade actually works with the warez copy?
