Video Card upgrade with TV out

I'm looking to upgrade my Video card with a tv Out card so that I can connect it up to my computer and watch dvds as my dvd drive is on the computer. Not sure what type of video card i need though or if all are compatible.

Do you have an AGP slot? Or does the PC use a PCI slot for graphics? (ie look inside your case and look for a slot beside your PCI ones.

Nearly all GFX cards have TV out these days, are you a big gamer and is the upgrade worth it from that point of view? Because if your not why not pick up a cheap DVD player and use it as it will cost round the same.
