I'm going to be in Dublin for a weekend next month and am going to need to go somewhere on a Sunday to burn pictures from memory card onto cd. Anyone recommend somewhere to do this and how much does it cost? By the way I'll be staying out near UCD so if there was somehwere there to do it it would be handy that or city center, thanks. Also do i need to bring USB cable or software to do it?

What sort of memory card is it ?

The photo shop on Baggot Street lower (a few doors up from Eddie Rockets) will do it for you if it's Smartmedia or Compact Flash. Not sure about it being open on a Sunday though.

No idea on how much it costs though

Try Conns Cameras on Clarendon Street (behind Brown Thomas, Grafton street). Never had any problems with them. The prices are at www.connscameras.ie

I was in the new Tesco at Clarehall (Malahide Rd) yesterday and passed a machine that took all sorts of mem cards. It also had a CD writer in it and a slot to collect prints, so I'm not 100% sure if it burned to CD or took from CD to print.

It was a self service thing that took credit cards.

I can find out exactly what it does if your interested.

Thanks for the replies guys. I went into Spectra photo first and they said it would cost 6.99 which seemed very expensive so I went to the tourist office and they gave me a voucher to get 50% off at Central Internet Cafe on Grafton Street. I went there and they had a compact flash card reader. So I bought a blank cd from them and burn't it there and then, price €1.80, great value.

I've a similar question except I'm wondering about similar services abroad. I'm heading to Prague next week and it'd be great if I could empty my microdrive to a CD while there. Anyone done this there or in other european countries out of curiosty?
