Strange gfx problem

    Im having a slightly strange (but not yet irritating) problem.

    Its happened twice thus far so im just curious.

    What happens basically is that the monitor goes into standby and the computer doesnt ackwnowledge any input from keyboard for approx 10-15 seconds. It then comes back on and any input i did make will suddenly happen. This has only happened playing cnc generals thus far.

    Is this a graphics driver issue?

    (9700 pro btw which never had this problem on old pc)

    Just curious atm :)

    Only speculation on my end:)

    My PC's monitor used to blink for a second or two after a random number of hours... i.e something similiar to a very fast standby effect.

    After i changed graphics cards it has yet to happen again.

    I used to think it had something to do with some special power savings monitor thingy.. though the monitor wasn't energy star complient etc...

    hmmz, ill check the power saving but this ios the same monitor i always had and same OS etc. Sure ill have a look.
