Upgrading the firmware of the Nokia 6600

    Hey guys,

    Does anybody know if it is possible to upgrade the firmware of the nokia 6600 without going to MPRC or a Nokia approved service department?

    i.e. doing it yourself

    Nokia don't provide the facility to perform an end user update on the handset. With the correct cables and software it may be possible to do entirely at your own risk but that approach isn't supported by Nokia, you could invalidate your warranty and mess up your phone.

    If it is under warranty best to just go to an authorised Nokia Service Point.

    You'll lose alot of functionality if you upgrade the 6600's firmware anyway, is there a particular reason you want to upgrade or is it just for shíts and giggles?

    hi, topics like that aren't covered by this forum, you may have more luck trying some other more Symbian (Series 60) focused sites / forums...
