    try this:

    Dim ol As Outlook.Application
    Set ol = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

    Dim myFolders As Outlook.Folders
    Dim myNameSpace As Outlook.NameSpace

    Set myNameSpace = ol.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set myFolders = myNameSpace.Folders
