    I had sky in a few years ago but i had is disconnected when i moved away now my folks want it back in the house. but! The LNB connector has been ripped off somehow and i need to get the head put back on the cable. I reckon i could have a crack at it myself but i need to buy the cable head, i tried Peats etc but no luck. anyone know where i can get some OR who would be available to hire to put the head back on??

    Maybe you'd be better just siging up for a new sub with sky and get a new digibox and dish installed for feck all.

    He probably does mean the f connector.

    I would suggest ringing Sky and telling them first that you are only *considering* going back to Sky.
    And that you will only be persuaded if theres a good offer on.

    My Bro afaik did that and was offered the full package at half price for 6 months.
    Thats worth over €180

    Maplin have F-connectors, but they're quite expensive, over a euro each AFAIR.

    B+Q Warehouse in Liffey Valley have a pack of 2 F-connectors for €1.73. They also sell a pack of 2 + a female/female connector also for €1.73. A mistake with the pricing gun I reckon.

    i dont mind paying a few quid for em. so they are called F Connectors? This is the cable that runs down from the Minidish into the Skybox. I may have to stick my head into maplins again and check
