For the last year my scalp has been itching me. Evrything was fine until i dyed my hair one day, i let it grow out, but since then i have had problems. My scalp itches a lot of the time, and quite a lot of hair has fallen out of my head, from the sides of my head and on top. If i run my hand through my hair quite a few hairs will come loose. I dont think this is natural. I went to the doctor but all she said was to use non-perfumed shampoo or moisturiser or something like that. I dont think this is the problem as it was never like this before....I also went to a clinic in Dublin, but they robbed me blind, charging around 600 for a course of treatments that didnt really do anything. Its really affecting me.
    Anyone know what to do?
    Thanks

If your doctor and specialist clinic hasn't helped I doubt that we can give you medical advice for your problem. Unless anyone has had similar problems and can tell you their story...

Have you been to a hairdresser?

it could be due to a hormonal imbalance, i was in the same situation last year and had to have blood tests to check my hormone levels were normal.
in my case though it turned out to be due to stress!

If you're getting bald patches you might have some form of alopecia. I can't really make any scientific diagnoses or anything, but a girl I know got that a while ago, and the hair just started growing back after a while.

To get rid of the itchie-ness, try T-Gel. Its available in tesco's and chemists. If possible go for the one that doesn't cause brain tumours in rabbits, the one WITHOUT coal tar, its the lighter of the two types, but you might want want to look inside the box to check.

Works wonders. Dunno about hairloss though, but if you wash regularly with t-gel, itchieness might go away.

It could be a fungal infection of the scalp - they're a big cause of dandruff/itchy scalp. You might like to try some alternative treatments for it, it shouldn't be too difficult to clear up with the right stuff.

the more you stress about it the more you are bound to lose. i know this may sound disguting but try washing your hair with an egg there great for your hair and rub some baby oil in to your scalp each day also try not to tie your hair back. keep your hair trimmed every three weeks this will increase strenght and volume. but try not to stress as this is probably the main problem. you obviously had a bad reaction to the colour do stear clear of them. good luck
