Insurance for Bouncy Castles

Can anyone help me on this please?

I have acquired 3 bouncy castles and hope to start hiring out locally. However I will not do so until I have appropriate insurance cover in place and my problem is I cannot find anyone to underwrite this cover.

Incidentally, is insurance cover an issue with people when they hire out bouncy castles or do they not bother worrying about it.

    Any views would be welcome

Public liability is a must as its your equipment and if any accidents you'd be up the creek

Don't know if this helps but you could try ringing someone that is advertising bouncy castles already (buy and sell for example). Just say you are interested in hiring one for a party and after a while throw in "what about insurance" question. If they say "we handle that", then say "ah right, who is your insurance company, can I ring them to make sure we're covered". Sounds more like an interrogation when written, but would be very easy to get the information in a telephone conversation.

You could also ring the people in buy and sell who advertise them for sale and say you're interested in buying, but what about insurance. Probably easier than the first way I just mentioned!

According to this article Allainz do public liability insurance that covers bouncy castles...and I'd recommend giving AIG a call as well as they do a range of more specialist products.

They are second hand in good condition.I have them on appro at the minute but I'll pay €2000 for the 3 if I go ahead and buy. New packages of 3 cost €3500 approx with your own logo if you wish

I'll let everyone know how I get on with the insurance

    Tnx
