Where to get canvas stretchers?

    Anywhere [dublin or eire] that I can get big cheap canvas stretchers made to custom size?

    I usually stretch mine across the frame as I make it.

    I know there is a mental hospital somewhere in Dublin (I think it might be called st james') and as part of woodwork workshops the patients make canvas stretchers to custom size at good prices. They are of very good quality and they deliver. Never used it but I've seen stretchers that were made there.

    How do you stretch canvas while you make the stretcher ? surely you should have a completed stretcher before you go near the canvas?
