Hi, am putting together an external hard drive and was wondering if ye had any recommendations onwhich hdd would be best.

I'm doing this on a budget so am thinking about 120gb-160gb storage and will mostly be using the external disk for holding ghost images and maybe some game data

    Any recommendations will be appreciated,

    cheers

instead of buying an external drive, have a look at some usb2.0/ieee1394 external drive bays.
it should work out cheaper and you can just throw any old ide hard drive into one.

then get a 200gb seagate baracuda off komplett

I've heard bad stories about maxtor but I wouldn't pay much attention to them - I've had a few maxtor drives and none have failed me over the years. the only HD i've had die on me was an IBM deskstar.
