There's a book (or annual) in the making from the posts of Boards.ie members.

Take the one by dod about Pizza's as an example

It would be great if there was a Boards.ie annual in print with stuff like this. I'm sure it would sell very well.

There are a lot of incredibly intelligent and witty people on here whose posts I love to read and I know I'd buy such a book and I reckon there's a market for it.

sounds like an interesting idea, plenty of places for input...

creative writing could have a section, along with stuff like dods work, might be worth a think about!

I've often read a post and thought, wow - very well expressed and something that could go in a book of quotes.

e.g. just one I read earlier by Victor which is the type of thing I'm thinking of.

The Irish Times produce a book of the year which is as dry as a desert. Pithy comments like the one above would put a lot of media commentators to shame.

    I see the confusion!

What I mean to say is "There's the makings of a book from the posts of Boards.ie members"

alley, maybe you should throw together a proposal of sorts and see what the feedback peeps think of it... give a big spiel on what could go into it (it could use the letters for the editor, best posts of the year, creative writing stuff, maybe the results of afew admin made polls on best/worst etc to show the boards peoples views, info about the site, and what it does, like the beers :D)

It might be worth trying out a small print run, and if it went well, could get a more people interested in boards (who know... could make some cool, hip cult monthly mag...:D:D)

Maybe a book exclusive to Subscribers, it may promote more people, including myself, to subscribe to Boards.ie! ;)
