My last employer (from jan to may) posted out my P45 on only 8 weeks since i left/walked out ,told them to stick there job etc:

On my P45 it has how much i earned and TOTAL tax paid €183 (which was my last weeks there tax) . I know its just a mistake and only had to wait 8 weeks for teh form as i didnt" request it properly".

These are cnuts of highest order and im just wondering ,should i ask for another (you only allowed one) or should i send it to tax office for my tax back as is? They aware i had *issues* obtaining it in the 1st place.

For one, I think an employer is obliged to give you it within 1 month of your leaving, and I would just give it to the tax office the way it is, with a note saying 'this information is blatantly wrong, but as I had to wait 8 weeks to get this p45 I didn't want to wait another 8 weeks for a replacement'. Maybe they'll get into a bit of trouble with the revenue.

iirc you can get a P45 from the revenue itself, without having to wait for your employer to send it to you.

I knew they would pull this the Green bin collecting bstards ;)

So i contacted the tax office who sent out a nice letter to the company but i still had to wait , as i asked my direct supervisor and my manager for it both who *forgot* to ask finance for it when i rang finance they said it was never requested so i couldnt have it.

LOL 183 tax for 4 months, that job has mysteriously disappeared of my cv.

Speak with the tax office directly. For the most part and certainly in Dublin the tax office are OK to deal with and really have their act together.

Do you have payslips that show tax deducted? If you were paid by cheque you have evidence of your net pay.

I suppose you don't have a P60 from the same employer the year before?

No p60 only with them for 4 months this year, have every payslip i have ever got in any company.

If you have not done so already, bring your P45 and a copy of your last payslip to the Revenue Commissioner ... when the Rev Comm see the discrepancy between the tax deducted per the payslip vs. P45 they'll raise hell with the employer!
