    Noob question here but what does a broadband self install actually entail?

    Am I right in saying that you have to run a wire from where the phone line enters the house to my pc? :dunno:

    yep thats about all install the software and off you go .

    do not use one of those telephone extension wires though , get proper telephone wire and a socket

    why not use one of the extension wires? I have one and it works fine.

    Just did that today - Ran the wire from the original/primary telephone socket up the stairs, into the attic and then down into my room - took about 3 hours to do. Hadn't a clue how to do it at first but tried this site:
