Flying into Dubrovnik in late August. Hoping to go island hopping up as far as Split. Any suggestion regarding islands along this stretch, places to go, things to do. All suggestions gladly accepted.

Just back from Croatia last week, fantastic time, great weather.food/drink and really relaxing!
Best place to head from Dubrovnik would be Mijet first, then to Korkula, Onto Starigrad on Hvar, Hvar Town, Up to Bol on Brac and finally back to Split.

My fav was Starigrad on Hvar, really nice little town, great friendly people, go out on one of the local's fishing boats for the day - about €50, they'll take you out around the islands, some lunch, some swimming etc.

The ferry's run frequently between the islands, cheap and quick...
