We have the go ahead for the first official boards snooker tournament.
Venue: Spawell Templeogue
Saturday August 7th 7Oclock ish.

We have a certain number of tables available so playing numbers will be kind of limited, depends on feedback really. We also have a recreation room where we can sit, talk and most importantly drink as there is a bar on the premisis. The complex also has a night club so the plan is to venture there afterwards. Night Club passes will be given out on the night.

What we need is a head count of players, and also a rough count of people just coming along for the beer.

Please just reply to this post with PLAYER if you are playing or ALCO if you are just coming for the beer
Could all players also post up their average break. This event is mainly for fun and winning the tournament by saying you are a crap player and then shooting 50 breaks in the competition will just earn you abuse on boards. If you play for example Dublin Leagues tell us your club and division you play. BASICALLY HELP US TO TRY AND MAKE THIS A FAIR EVENT:D

Competition/Venue Rules
1: As this is a liscenced premises positive id will be required to gain entry to both the snooker and the Night Club
2: The event is being organised by myself, celticfc in association with Spawell
3: The duration of the matches ie best of 1/3/5 will be posted once final figures are announced
4: Once a match is finished the light must be turned off and paid for and then turned on again for the next game. Payment of the bill is up to the 2 players involved in the match. Split it or decide before the game if one person will pay it.
5: Handicaps will be decided before the event blindly as we do not know each other, and will be modified on the night
6: The overall prize of the Boards.ie Snooker Tournament will be a trophy kindly sponsored by R McAuley of Spawell.
7: There will be a facility of a free pool table to all players watching matches or for people who just come for the beers
8: House rules apply at all times. It is still a snooker room and while drink is served raucus behaviour is kinda frowned upon:o
9: Have fun and let us know well in advance if you can make it

As for my average break, well lately 1 has been quite common, I havent gotten over 30 in ages.
