just got audio 90's to go with my audigy2 oem (6.1 audigy not ZS) and the only way i can get audio to the headphones is to plug out the green connector from the soundcard and plug in the headphones.

this means when ever i wish to use headphones i need to fiddle around the back of the computer and vice versa for when i wanna use speakers.

is there anything i can get so i can connect both the headphones and the speakers to the same jack at the same time.

i also just realised that my speakers work with the green jack pulled out, well 4 of them work my front left and front right don't

i'm using the inspire 6100 i think (the basic 6.1 creative set)

    any ideas?

    Thanks

what you want is the plantronics .Audio PC Headset Speaker Switch (http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat640035/cat3600586/prod3090125)

you could probably put something together with some cheap parts and a soldering iron...

Or buy a splitter (1x 3.5mm to 2x 3.5mm) or do as I do and use onboard sound for headphones and mic and a real soundcard for game effects. I know Teamspeak lets you choose the audio device for playback/recording, I assume others do too. That way you get dedicated, seperate sound channels for your game and your headset.

You can get cheap splitters in Peats and Maplins and probably other places like that, they basically go into a stereo socket and have two stereo sockets on the back, pretty much the exact same as the phone thingies. I'm not sure how well they'll work with an Audigy though, I know the ZS has a socket which controls 3 channels, check your speaker cable to make sure it's stereo first.

P.S. The inspire 7100s have a headphone connector on the volume control that you'd hardly notice if you didn't know it was there, have a check just in case.

i have the headphone jack aswell on the volume but the headphone jack only stretches so far and my pc is on the floor and if i connect it to the headphone socket on the volume control anytime i want to turn volume up i'll have to go to the back of the pc.

i'll try one of them splitters might be in town next week or so
