i've got about 30 star wars expanded universe books, pre clonewars, to new jedi order, i am trying to collect all but it will take me a few years.

To date my favourite books are darth maul -sabauteur and shatterpoint (novel based on mace windu) they are really good as they are quite dark - the republic crumbling around them...... the classic era are a bit boring with hope, training, less action and all, and the new jedi order are excellent with the vong invaders.

    Happy reading

for my money you can;t beat the first original star wars book, and they should have kept things a lot more like that too. It was better thatn the movie even, and the movie was the best thing I ever saw.

i normally don't buy star wars book but i picked up Shatterpoint recently at the airport to read something on the plane. Now i'm not a huge star wars fan though i do enjoy the franchise, and I must say I really enjoyed this book. Its well written and an excellent read. Even a non star-wars fan might enjoy it, but perhaps with a certain suspension of belief required.

I wholeheartedly reccomend this book to anyone who likes star wars.

Dunno about the rest of the books, but i am intersted in reading the one about Darth Maul.
