Waiting period before posting on the 'For Sale' boards

Given the recent influx of ticket touts, signing up solely to sell their horribly overpriced tickets for Oxegen, does anyone else think there should be a waiting period before you can post on the For Sale boards? Maybe having to wait a month after signing up before you can post there?

I remember there already being a discussion about this. The waiting period was considered, then you had to have a certain amount of posts to post on FS.

    Obviously both were scrapped.
They must have had good reasons.

Once oxegen is over there will be no problems ;)

A waiting period is a bit much.

Some people may genuinely register to boards just to buy or sell an item - there is no problem with this as long as the rules are followed - so the waiting period would be a bit counterproductive for people that are genuine.

Possibly just block them registering to sell tickets straight away as they're most likely to be touted - is it possible to ban people from starting threads?

Oxegen may be over, but we repeatedly get traders signing up accounts to tout their wares, usually dodgy mobile phones. Users aren't always aware of this unfortunately.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to be honest.

on the forums over on overclockers.co.uk have a trust feature where when you buy something of someone you leave a comment on how the sale went and so on.

merc, I've noticed traders reappearing and posting drivel on places like humour to up their post count before going near for sale. Ironically it has been the spam in some cases that has brought them to my attention.
