I'm going on hols for two weeks so I'm gonna leave this with you.

It's the festival season again and people will be buying all sort of flourescent crap.

What is the most useless thing you have bought at a festival?

What is the best thing you have bought at a festival?

What would you buy at a festival given the (terribly unfair) constraints of reality?

Best thing - a blow up chair at Slane which I sold to some kid for the same price as it cost me after I'd had the use of it for all the warm-up bands:D

I bought one of dem inflatable couches at Witness 02, and I have to say it rocked. I bring it camping with me now, but was a total impulse buy at the time.

Most useless was a heavy wool jacket at Creamfields (I think) - the sunshine was blistering for the entire concert :(

When you're very drunk, and trying to make your way back from the very front of the stage at U2. Those inflatable chairs are abolutely fúcking bóllox. How they allow those to be sold is beyond me. I was on my ear about 20 times... more importantly what exactly are idiots doing sitting down so close to the stage... You can't see anything. Never again.

Inflatible stuff is sooo last year. This year the youngsters are all going mad for stuff on long sticks. Like dead crows and dancing monkeys. If you saw the BBC 3 coverage of Glastonbury you'll know what I mean...

And when the lights are gone out... and all the bands have gone home.. they can all beat the sh!t out of each other with the sticks.

I bought a Kerri Ann tape when I was REALLY young. Was so crap cause there were like 3 songs on it and then it was static for the last 40 minutes.

Krri ann tapes at a festival?

I saw her in Virgin in the square one time when i was shopping. She was perched on a chair just inside the door doing a single singning r something. There was 3 people there and by the look of it they were in the same family.

Worst thing was the pint I bougtht at slane in 99. Carslberg if I remember correctly. I think it was about £4.

worst was those glow sticks, at night, oh look my skin is glowing, oh look my new jacket is glowing, isn't that great, next day, whats that white crap on your face, whats that white stuff on your new black jacket and won't come off....EVER. Okay we did have to break them open to get the magic glowing stuff but still! we fools should be protected from ourselves at certain times.

best was a big huge inflatable double couch, in which i was flipped backwards off and flipped completely head over feet and landed on them, which i thought that was cool, so did it again and this time landed on my neck to a nice crack sound, no real damage but it was a tad strained for a bit, still have that magic couch that many strange people seemed to jump on and do ... each other, didn't seem to matter that other people were already sitting on it at the time meeeeh... infact i think some people enjoyed the close and personal performance. :)
