Should just be a standard ATX power supply, no?

That wouldn't be an ATX12V cable? Black/yellow wires with a square 4-pin plug on the end?

most modern ATX PSU's have them as standard

real thin ones like you get on a case fan? With a 2-pin plastic connector on the end? I'd say its just for monitoring the PSU fan speed. There should be a PSUFAN header on the motherboard somewhere to connect it. It will work fine without it though.
