Good place to go out near Ranelagh

    My girlfriend and I have have recently moved in together. We're living near Ranelagh and have been down around the village a couple of times. We only saw one pub. Basically, are there any night clubs near Ranelagh? Or would it just be better to head into the city center?

    (I'm pretty new to "going out". Strange I know, but I had pretty strict parents)

    there are lots of pubs, mcsorleys, russels, the four provinces.
    Lots of little cafes for coffees, and little restuarants for dins dins.
    Tramp co is prob the nearest club, its in rathmines.

    There is "Il Mondo" night club over the four provinces. In the past (read: a few years ago) it was a very dodgy place. Word has it the bouncers were all INLA men. But it was closed for a while and they re-launched more recently.

    I have no idea what it is like these days.

    I though Tramco was shut though?

    It was but they had a big re-opening recently
