CD Drives keep showing last CD inserted

    I have win XP an 2 cd drives.

    When I put in a cd it displays the name and icon for the contents in Explorer. If i eject the cd, the name and Icon remain. So the only way around this is to put in a different cd, right click and open.

    It doesnt Autoplay anymore either.

    How can I sort this niggling problem?

    Does this happen all the time, even when you reboot the machine?

    Have you always had two drives in the machine?

    Does it matter which drive you are using or does this happen for both drives?

    Press F5, it will refresh explorer window and should clear the old info.
    I dunno how to fix it properly though.

    Sounds like "insert notification" is turned off. Try googling for that.
