The exact same thing happened to me in feb! As far as I can remember I just filled out the renewal one cause it didn't cost the full amount. :dunno:

If your going up with the form bring the old passport with you and it takes the same amount of time as a first time passport to get to you. I collected mine from the office so didnt take that long cause wasnt waitin 4 post to come

While we're talking about passports, does Passport Express really come in 10 days - i need it quite urgently?

Passport Express usually arrives in less than 10 days... they say 10, but that's just to cover themselves - it's rare that it ever takes any longer than 10 working days. Just make sure you have everything that they need, or you'll be doubling the time.

I washed my passport twice and then literally travelled around the world with it, The only person to pass comment in about 9 countries was a cheeky cockney in Heathrow on the way home"wash it did ya mate?", Even American security was grand about it and this was only a few months after 9/11

My driving licence somehow ended up in the dishwasher once and it lived and is still living to tell the tale!

    :D

I used the Passport Express recently and had the new passport in 7 working days which was pretty good!

im only back from glasgow and on the way back the ryanair woman said "Do you know this passport is out of date since january 23rd?". then i remembered my mate used a (fake) student card to get to england, so i took mine out only to realise it expired 30 june!! so i had no up to date ID. luckily she just let me on the plane.
