A Bomb was planted in my local shopping mall in Luton. Everyone was evacuated and the bomb squad was called in. They carried out a controlled explosion. Don’t know much more about it but apparently they have the guy who rang in the alert on camera. I overheard lots of people saying, “oh must be the IRA” (as you all know the IRA are the only people who ever plant bombs rolleyes.gif ). This was the first time I’ve ever been near a bomb scare, which I told people but they all said, “I thought you were from Ireland” rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif.

P.S. Hope it wasn’t the IRA might get a bit of flack if it was frown.gif.

Anyway, Dave- you know what to say to people that give you any flak over it... just tell the ignorant w*nkers to "F**K OFF!", basically.

Heh. Reminds me of that Alan Partridge episode where two irish tv people come over to him and he insults the Irish. (The guys were played by the Father Ted creators)

IrishPPL: No, the troubles are in Northern Ireland. We're from Dublin.

Alan: Ah right, thats where you make the bombs.

That was a great episode with Alan meeting his stalker.

Paula was only taking the **** Niall (she’s the only one I allow do so:P). 20% of the population of Luton is apparently Irish. It was a bit of excitement in an otherwise boring town. Didn’t make the news though which surprised me.
