I bought these wheels 3.5 years ago in wheelstore ( which has closed down now).. Does any of you know where I could buy a 14" Alessio alloy wheel

I need to book my retest before 31 July so would appreciate any help you can provide

failing success in your search for a new alloy before the test you could still get yourself a rim from a breakers yard that is the same size as the damaged alloy and fit it. It should tide you over until you get the new one and should pass the NCT without any hassle.

Or just put on your origional wheels (as long as the thread is legal)... Only thing is it wont look pretty going in to do the test, but you can take them straight off after you come back out

i would not take the mechanics word that the wheel cannot be fixed - go to a specialist i have seen mangled alloys replaired perfectly.

Thanks lads.. Unfortunately I do not have the original wheels to put back on the car..
Egan007 - do you know anywhere in Dublin that fixes damaged alloys...might be worth a try instead of buying a new wheel

my mate uses one in the North so i don't know of one in Dublin - but a search in the golden pages has a few leads

    Hi,

I drove into a pot hole a few months ago and way told that the alloy wa un-useable.
I went to a crowd on the lower North Circular Road called AluWeld and they melt and reset your allow for you.

A new allow would have cost me 150 euro but these guys fixed it for 80.

    Thats another option for ye.
    Best of luck

    Maeve
