Monitor Requirements - help buying one

I'm looking to pick up a new TFT monitor for my PC. Just have a couple of quick questions though:

I'd like to be able to use the monitor as a TV to free up some space in my very small bedroom. I know I can get a TV card for the PC to do this, but I was wondering it is possible to get TFT monitors with SCART sockets in order to hook up my DVD player.

Just managed to get DVDs playing on my PC, but would like the option to just run them straight from my DVD player at times too (a lot quiter and better sound).

Also, what do you think is a reasonable price for a 15" or 17" monitor?

    Cheers

I know it is possible to have a TFT running your TV as well but the only instance of it I've ever seen was a system specificaly designed as dual system, both TV and PC in one. I can't remember the make of it off hand though.

I've just had a great idea that could make me a lot of money! I'm off to study up on how infra-red controls work and how DVI, Scart and all thouse types of connections work! :)

Reasonable price for a 17" TFT (Good quality) would be around €600.
