    Is it true that a 64 optimised xp edition is coming out?
    When should it come out and will it make a difference with my amd 3000 64?

    p.s a bit off topic anyone got oxygen tickets?

    There's a beta version of XP 64-bit available now.

    Hi Dutchboy, Windows XP 64bit (for AMD systems) is in beta as Stephen has already mentioned. You can get the beta bits from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/evaluation/upgrade.mspx

    This product is following the Server 2003 SP1 timeline, so they will both release the final versions at the same time. It'll be later this year.
