    Something has caused the address (url) bar on my MS IE to hide/disappear. How do I reset this?

    right click on a grey bit near the top and click "Address Bar"

    Are the toolbars locked?

    If so unlock them and then click Address Bar. If it's hidden, with the toolbars unlocked you'll be able to drag them and it should reveal the Address Bar. Then just lock them again.
