Just upgraded motherboard from SIS-VIA, Windows 2000 is no longer booting; "Unacessable_drive" with bluescreen. I had this problems years ago, but didnt think it would still occur with current chipsets. Does anyone know a work-around?

I would always reinstall the os on a new machine but
You will need to put the hdd into your old PC
    bootup
go into regedt32 and backup reg
then delete the hkey_local_machine branch and shutdown machine
put drive into new machine and it should start to pick up the new h/w including the motherboard drivers
