ATT MODS: this really should be in Personal Issues.

AS a side note to this, breakup's suck - because being with someone like that means opening yourself to them & possible hurt.... but drinking to get over it creates a whole other series of problems, & 'wrist slitting music' is just music...... up to you what way you act out on it, but bad feelings don't help..... I'd say go out with mates, try enjoy yourself (hard I know at this stage) - but staying in wallowing in pity or bad feelings won't make it go away & will cause it to spiral....... best to stay active, go out & just enjoy hanging out with buddies......

Have to agree SS there. Have friends around you and just go out and have fun. It's better to be around other people at this time

How about a nice holiday in Bangkok to make you forget your troubles?

beware of the chickboys though ;)

Break ups always suck, but in 6 months you won't care about the ex, so try not to worry too much.

Keep yourself busy and do NOT start thinking about how "wonderful" your ex was.

My technique is to sleep with someone else. It always helps take my mind off the ex.

    Good luck.

The man's got a point.. that's a time proven method!

As for the JD, make sure it's free of ice and not diluted with something like coke and you'll be grand.

Try not to dwell on the breakup too much, it'll only make you depressed and that aint the right way to go. Do something to take your mind off it. Being around friends is a good way of cheering yourself up.

And yeah, should be in PI

Slap bang in the middle of a broken hearted kind of place myself at the minute. Though, last Friday it was a bottle of Southern Comfort instead of J.D. and wrist-slitting music for me. Feel like hitting the f**king bottle again right now, to be honest.

Actually, where did I put all those paracetemol tablets now, come to think of it? :(

Don't know what it is, must just be the season for breakups and us fellas getting our hearts broken at the moment, or something.

All you have to do is go f*ck one or 2 birds to get you over it.

It may take a bit of time - might not though - if you lay the old "i've just been dumped" wounded animal line on them. Worked for me a coupla times. Good for getting over the sleasy lunatic I went out with and all.

Come to think of it, I've never got so much poon-tang as the first few weeks after I found out my bird had done the dirt. Good cure.
