Muse have confirmed that they will be continuing their European tour this weekend at a number of venues across Europe, including the Roskilde festival. That bodes well for their T-in-the-Park and Oxegen appearences the following weekend.

They're gonna have serious crowd problems though. With The Darkness headlining the main stage there's gonna be war trying to get into Muse's area...

That's the answer... I'm now torn between Muse and OCS, but i'll almost certainly see Muse. And there's going to be a lot of people thinking like me, who don't want to see The Darkness and do want to see Muse. It's going to be a massive crowd, especially with the good press they've had from their Glastonbury show.

I for one will be up there in the pit for The Darkness, it will be great. I was planning on seeing The Darkness and then Muse before Bowie cancelled but now unfortunately I'll have to skip Muse.

That's my point, most of the crowd going to Oxegen this year seemed torn between Bowie and Muse. Now, that's not an issue so most of the crowd will go to see Muse who are playing a smaller stage than The Darkness => too many people for the area => crowd trouble.

I'm sure there will be a lot of people wanting to see The Darkness aswell.

Now that Bowie is gone, I guess I'll go see Muse, then catch The Shins when they come on.

I dunno if Muse will be a more attractive act for the general Oxegen attendee. I mean, they're more of a hardcore rock act than The Darkness, and I don't know if the majority of people will be into that, or if they'll be more interested in hearing some catchy Darkness songs that they've heard before on the radio. Certainly the Muse crowd will be bigger than before, but how much...? I dunno.
