Shrek 2 = Witches Abroad?

    Anyone who hasnt seen Shrek 2 check it out and read witches abroad , the storyline is a bit to similiar.

    Good movie tho :)

    oh please the whole presmise of shrek is to turn "fairy" stories on there head and you may as well say that all of the discworld does that.

    the only correlation is a susposed fairy godmother apprenlty abusing her position to make happy endings.

    witches abroad is about a hell of a lot more then just that, there are no bananananananananananna dacyries in shrek

    Yup tis the very noticable similiarity. The whole fairy godmother is so like Grannies sis. Even teh king frog:)

    Not seen it yet but will check it out...

    I think it's hard to say anyone rips-off Discworld. The whole thing itself is a rip-off. As Thaed mentioned, the whole point of every Discworld story is to re-tell more humourous and extremely satirical version of fairy tales, well known stories or historical events. Not original itself, but it's the way it's done that's genius.

    Takes me a couple of reads sometimes to get all the digs Pratchett is having at people.

    And wow, a Discworld forum. Yay :D
