DVD burners

I'm currently in the market for a DVD burner (after getting broadband, I seem to have a lot more files to back up :D ) - I missed out on the one in Aldi for €99, but I noticed a PC World ad in todays Herald:

    RICOH
    ReWritable DVD Drive
    • 4x DVD write, 4x DVD-ReWrite, 8x DVD read
    • + DVD writer drive format
    • 24x CD write, 10x CD-ReWrite, 40x CD read
Just wondering if that's any good, or is it typical PC World selling old hat at crap prices?

What should you look out for when getting this type of drive?

try www.blankdiscshop.co.uk. P&P is £11stg but you can order as much as you want (I would recommend buying loads of DVD-R's as well). You can pick up the latest NEC 2510 dual layer burner for £59.98 including VAT or the Pioneer A07 for £49.98.

Komplett sell the duallayer 2510 drive for under 100 euro, a very good drive for burning DVD's. Among the top 3 drives available today. Depending on who you talk to, it can even be called the best.
