Just played halfway through a sample adventure in the back of the new Eberron (A new D&D setting) book last night, and well into the small hours of today.

I'm impressed. It's dark and atmospheric, and dark, with a hint of darkness for flavour. The cities actually feel massive, like you could really spend your life adventuring in just one of them. The Warforged is a very cool new race. The action points system (spend one after a roll to add another D6 to it) is dead handy and makes for extra heroics. The prestige classes have some great little perks, the techno magic is coolness personified... And the artwork? Stunning. Simply stunning.

I like it. Very much. The book's expensive (Just under 50 quid, and you need the 3.5 handbooks too), but... Wow.

There's quite a few bad reviews of it floating around at the moment, though how many of those are from failed entrants I have yet to discover.
