    Hi Guys,

I have just bought one of these phones back with me from Australia (nice friends I have) and I am using it with my paymonthly Vodafone account. Not a problem for everyday use, but for GPRS/WAP or anything data related I seem unable to do anything.
I realise the Irish vodafone phones come pre-set so between the vodafone website and the helpful sticky here I have been trying to manually set it up, but without luck.

Of course the menus and options are slightlky different on this phone and I can find nothing about it. Did I hear there were problems with this phone and vodafone?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Simon

ps Is Proxies (Primary and secondary) same as the IP address?
Because that is the option I have.

The phone is a WAP 2.0 device.

You will not be able to access WAP or MMS until Vodafone release their WAP 2.0 settings. This would be happening within a week or so.

    Ah. Ok, thanks for that.

    Next question then is:
Does anyone know where I can download ringtones to copy across by Bluetooth onto the phone, as I can't retrieve them via the phone until those settings are released.

I find the best bet is to look for .midi files on the net and use them...

Nokia 6230 is out out on O2 mid july. Prices are already out for it. I think its €229 for first time connection and €239 on advantage upgrade. These are the prices for Carphone Warehouse. You can get another €30 off if you trade in your old phone, charger and manual.

Not available yet, but shouldn't be to long as vodafone have released a few different wap 2.0 devices. Will probably be the next phone that they release. There is a lot of people waiting on it including myself (provided I get an upgrade soon) so hopefully it wont be to long.

www.myt630.net is as the name suggested aimed at the Sony Ericsson T630 however it does have ringtones in the site on .mid format and you can just right click and save as the ones you want.

    Thanks Brian.

I'll just sit tight so and play with the mp3s (and take piccies of myself for myself)
