Freind bought a new Dell PC (not laptop)

He dropped a pile of papers on the keyboard and next thing he knew the screen was 180 degrees flipped. I cant find any apps running in memeory, nothing in the tray, no function key on keyboard and no settings in display.

anyone know why or how this can happen?

Yea if it's a nvidia card right click on the desktop and go to properties-go to settings - then advanced -click on the name of the gfx card at the top right- and go to NVRotate tab and change it back to normal.:)

thought maybe someone has heard of this before.

gonna try and remove card and reinstall as well

no need to stand on head, already flipped monitor over. by the way its a flatscreen if that makes a difference.

that happened to my work monitor once....this is how I fixed it - start up in safe mode and delete the adapter from Device Manager then reboot. When you start up again in Normal mode it should recognise the card and install it again and it should be sorted - see how I said should instead of would there - thats a Tech Support trick of mine:D mmmmwaahahahahhaaaa

This is one of the most intelligent things I've ever seen on boards! It seems so obvious yet I would have never thought of it.
