How can I transfer video from a VHS tape to a digital format to edit it?

Also I've purchased a cctv camera that hooks up to a VCR with an RCA cable is their any adaptor i could use that would allow me to hook the cctv camera up to a Digital Video camera instead of a VCR ?

To answer your first question, the way i do VHS > DVD is with a tv capture card. VHS connected via a SCART/S-Video cable to card and it works pretty well, but the end quality can depend a lot on many factors; quality of original VHS tape; player, cable, tv card, bitrate......

Not sure of the second question; its not something i tried

    HTH a bit :)

For VHS --> DVD you have 2 options:

1/ Capture to your PC via capture card. I've tried this. It's a pain in the ass. Takes a lot of time/effort

2/ Buy a DVD recorder such as the Pioneer DVR-220. You either record straight to DVD instead of video tape or play on your video and record to DVD. If you use a DVD-RW you can use the sweet of edit fuctions on the DVD recorder.

I've just bought the DV330 and it is a dream.
