No not the 80's, he was on 2FM early-mid 90's....but has disappeared since.
Maybe he's involved behind the scenes in RTE radio?. He also did a music news spot on The Beat box, Night time 2FM and those Beat on the streets...Nepotism I think they call it:rolleyes:

    What about Larry Gogan's son?

Gerard Gogan as far as I remember. He had a late night show on 2FM about 10 years ago?

    (Or am I imagining this?)

Gerry Gogan, found his page on the old 2fm website via archive.org:-

I don't remember Gerry's brother but I do remember an annoying bespectacled fella from Cork named Terence who used to frequent his show about twenty years ago. The same Terence sang a dodgy cover version of "Que Sera Sera". Anyone remember him? Or better still, does anyone know whatever happened him?

"Terence" was a character played by John Creedon I think!

Yes you're spot on, its John Creedon.

Anyone remember Smiley Bolger, brother of Stevie Bolger? He used to appear on the Beatbox too with all the pop gossip...he got a bad beating in Dublin one night and they re-arranged his face!

Yeah, I remember when Smiley Bolger got a hiding. Skangers with nothing better to do than lep on a bloke they recognise from the telly.

Yer man Mike Ryan wasn't bad on the beat box even if he was the Paul Ross to Gerry's Jonathan Ross.

    John Creedon was Terence?

I used to hear Mike Ryan being namechecked at the end of shows when they were doing outside broadcasts. He seems to have been the knob twiddler back at base.

Smiley Bolger used to run gigs in Slatterys, Capel st. and the Phil Lynott tribute gig every year. Don't know where he is now but I have a good story from the slatterys gigs which I can't post. Think piss, pint glass, thirst.

Was that what did it? I though he was dissolute from drug use and it had ruined his face. Oh well.
