Buying from UK. How not to get stung?

    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    I'm looking to buy a number of items from someone in the UK. He has 1 for sale on ebay but mentioned he could sell in bulk and to email him for details. He has approx 100 feedback - 99% positive.

    However is there anyway I could pay him (cheque/postal order/paypal/bank draft/bank transfer etc) that if I didn't get my stock I could cancel payment? Were talking about £600stg here so I need some kind of comeback in case I don't receive the goods....
