when my computer starts it automatically goes here
    http://default-homepage-network.com/newspynotice.html

When the internet starts it also automatically start two programs but my firewall stoped them.

I suffer from all the problems it says and I think I might have downloaded a dodgy attachment from a friend who I subsequently found out had a virus. He got it from spyware, it was a program for recording other ppls passwords.

Im really worried that my credit card details have been compimised, i buy lots of things over the internet.

    what should i do?
    Please help

Download Ad Aware from http://www.lavasoft.de , update it and run it.

Download Spybot Search & Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download , update it, immunize your system and search for problems.

Update your virus scanner or download AVG from http://www.grisoft.com , update it and run it.

Turn on your windows xp firewall if you dont have anything else or download zone alarm from http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp

Your system is only as secure as your last update. Its no good having the software if you dont update it.

Download Hijack This from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html to get rid of BHOs and search/start page hijacks. Read the forums before you use this program as its possible to damage your internet explorer installation.

there's a phone number on the back of your credit card - ring it - tell them your credit card details may have been stolen - they'll cancel your carda nd send you out a new one.

have you used your CC on-line on your computer since you downloaded this dodgy attachment?
If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Do you have AV software?

what are the two programs which your firewall stopped called?

If your credit card details have ANY possibilty of being comprimised, cancel the credit card NOW!

a "keystroke monitor" was installed on my computer as aprank, then uninstalled (or so was thought). Ive cancelled my credit cards, how serious a problem do I have.

How much money max could have been stolen

It was a spyware program, does anybody know anything about it, what it does or where I can find their website (so I can find the program and maybe get some professional help).

It may not be as bad as it seems. on the site given by Boro (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html ) if you download the CWshredder program, that should clear most of it automatically.

I've gotten a fair few of these things over the last while, and I don't really think there is much danger of your credit card details being stolen. But I suppose better safe than sorry.

would my firewall (zonealarm) have stopped any outgoing messages, like my cc details?
I dont see anything suspicous in the logs
