I have a abit an7 mother board and it died 4 week ago so i sent it of to komplett and 4 weeks later a new one was returned, yipee says me that was on friday last. now before i sent off my board the harddrive was working "Seagate Barracuda 160gb sata". so i connected it all back up and no joy the hard drive doesnt even spin up or its just really really quite. its not being detected in the sata controloller bios either. it was left sitting in my case for 4 weeks without being touched so it didnt die form being used any ideas?
must get this sorted quick and for once i hope its a stupid mistake or i wont be able to attend glx: (

    all i can suggest is:
check all your settings in the main bios again, and check the power and data cables.
then try it in another PC.

i think the hd is unlikely to have failed just like that.

I presume you've tried a different molex connector. They;re could be a loose wire in th onec you have it connected to.
