All reet folks hope you can help me here - Trying to get a 17' monitor working here thats displaying only white/light grey when hooked up. Any ideas what the problem might be? Compaq Presario MV500 - looks ok but don't work

Could be something simply like colour settings, if not check that all pins on connectors are OK.

Yeah, I would turn down all the brightness/contract settings. etc. Can you see the OSD (on screen display)?
