    could you have a side mounted 80mm fan exausting the hot air from the psu
    intead of out the back with a sh1tty 40mm.

    If you had a shroud the would convert from 40mm to 80mm why not
    Except it would protude past the edge of the case

    no, thats not what i mean.
    i mean like cut a hole in the psu and the side of the case and have an 80mm sucking the heat out.

    will look bad and you will have to gouge the side out of your case

    I saw a 80mm to 120mm in an article in PCW
    I have it at home I'll dig it out, It mentioned where he bought all the parts
    When I went to the site where he got the shroud they had loads of different sizes and all for a few £'s

    I have never seen a 40-80mm fan adapter,but you can get 60-80mm/ 80-92mm/ 80-120mm in places like maplin.

    You know you could put an extra 80mm fan of the back of the shuttle ''on the outside'' at the exhaust vent for extra flow like in the pic below.....you would probably have to cut off that grill tho.
