Backup programs

    Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with programs for backing up material on a computer.

    After having a HDcrash twice, i lost backups, and now have to re-rip all my CD's again, a long and painful process. So, after i get em ripped again, i want to be able to back em up onto DVDR.

    I'm looking for a program that does the following (or most of it):

    1) Keeps a list of what files are on what disc. This is a MUST!
    2) Support writing to DVD's.
    3) Can import a huge folder, and split it into nice 4.3gb sections and then allow me to burn off each section one by one.
    4) Free if possible

    Hi;
    I don't have any personal experience with backup programs myself; though i heard that this is good:

    Could be a good place to start......... not sure of it fits all of your criteria.. but it's something;)
