    Hi,
Im new to this forum, looking for some help. Im interested in getting vocal training, I can sing (quite well sometimes) but am painfully shy when it comes to singing in public (anyone else suffer with this). Im fine on my own, so now i've decided to bite the bullet and get training to try bring myself out a bit. Anyone recommend a good coach?? Im pretty eclectic when it comes to music, but I love old style jazz, blues (think aretha, nina, ella etc) I love the way a song was a story, so much more than the way it is now, and I'd love to be able to portray that in my voice. Im looking for a coach whos fairly patient, and just someone who'll let me sing what suits me and not what they want me to. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanx
    Deda

I know a couple of singing teachers - but they'd teach you how to sing properly, ie using your own voice rather than just trying to sound like someone else when you sing. Beyond the basic singing philosophy, they're patient and they'll let you sing what you want most of the time. If you're interested email me, eoin@avaricestudio.com, and I'll give you some phone numbers. They both do a free assessment, where you could talk about what you want and ask whatever questions.
