Paranoid ramblings. Their concerns may very well be warranted, but once they mentioned "government" and "terrorists" they lost me.

MSN have the exact same abilities to store deleted mail, database old mail and create a database of searchable keywords. Ditto for every other webmail provider.

Having a webmail address is like having a P.O. Box number. Don't use webmail for personal or sensitive mail. Simple.

if ye dont want anything to be read accross the net then code it. the net is not exactly secure no matter what mail system u use etc...
