    THE FALL
    +

    The Things

CrawDaddy, Old Harcourt St Train Station. Ph: 01 478 0225

    Sat 7th August 2004. Doors 8pm.

Recently described by the Sunday Times as 'the most consistently brilliant British band ever', The Fall play their first Irish show in 3 years when they play at Dublin’s new CrawDaddy venue on Sat 7th August. Led of course by the menacing genius of Mark E Smith, The Fall are touring to promote the recent release of ’50,000 Fall fans can’t be wrong’ a compilation double CD compiling some of the many highlights of the band’s 27 year career.

A consistently commanding and unpredictable presence onstage; Mark E Smith’s show with his current five band members – he is the only member to have survived the entire career, and people have joked that BBC Radio 1 DJ is the only other person to have been around The Fall as long – will be perfectly suited to the intimacy and all-encompassing soundsystem of Dublin’s newest venue. With just 300 tickets available; this one should sell fast.

The Fall also play Galway’s Roisin Dubh on Sunday 8th August.
